Gemscale Troubleshooting

Symptom

I push the button, but nothing at all happens.

Diagnosis

This is far and away our most common problem. You probably have a dead battery or a broken battery cable. Try changing to a second known good battery. If possible, verify that the battery works in something else (such as a second gemscale, if you have one). Sometimes, we've had some poor soul try a second dead battery he just bought!

Solution

If you still get nothing at all in the display, you must return it to us for repair. The good news is that we usually can repair this problem. The bad news is that we will charge you if it turns out to be just a bad battery. So check it first!
